Lægeforeningen Syddanmark medlemsmøde i anledning af 50 året for fri abort i Danmark.

 

Tirsdag den 27. juni 2023 kl. 17.00 inviterer Lægeforeningen Syddanmark til (virtuelt/fysisk) medlemsmøde i anledning af 50 året for fri abort i Danmark.

På medlemsmødet stiller vi skarpt på den faglige udvikling, der har igangsat den aktuelle debat om abortgrænsen: hvilke etiske overvejelser har det givet anledning til?

Vi behandler også de afledte konsekvenser af en ændret abortgrænse for f.eks. fosterdiagnostik. Aftenen rundes af med et kvalificeret bud på, hvilke dilemmaer vi som lægestand skal kunne navigere i på det klinisk genetiske område i den nærmeste fremtid.

Danske Kræftforskningsdage

Den 31. august – 1. september 2023 afholder DCCC og DMCG.dk Danske Kræftforskningsdage, landets største tværfaglige konference på kræftområdet, som samler både forskere, klinikere, patienter og beslutningstagere.

Derfor inviterer vi nu forskere og klinikere fra alle områder og discipliner til at indsende abstracts.

Call for abstracts er altså åben og deadline for indsendelse er den 19. april 2022 kl. 12.

11th International Symposium on Diabetes, Hypertension, Metabolic Syndrome and Pregnancy: Innovative Approaches in Maternal Offspring Health (DIP) will take place on May 4-6, 2023 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

 

The 11th DIP Symposium will highlight the progress of pregnancy: from pre-pregnancy, trimester by trimester, to labor, delivery and post-partum care.

Focus will be placed on the prediction and prevention of pregnancy complications – hyperglycemia, hypertension – preeclampsia, preterm birth, NCD’s (Non-Communicable Diseases) and pregnancy, fetal growth and others, as well as the cycle of future NCD’s that begins during the intrauterine life – onto mother and offspring.

The course is suitable for: Specialists in obstetrics and gynecology with basic knowledge and experience in gynecological ultrasound

Number of participants: 100

Program: Lectures, LIVE scanning, case presentations, interactive sessions and lectures (ultrasound physics including artefacts, examination technique, image optimization,  adnexal masses, abnormal vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain, endometriosis, tree-dimensional (3D) ultrasound, uterine malformations, management of incidentally detected adnexal masses or ”thick endometrium”, screening for ovarian and endometrial cancer, early pregnancy complications, MUSA, IETA, IDEA terminology, and more). Includes IOTA (International Ovarian Tumor Analysis) certification test.

Examination: Written test at the end of the course. Possibility to become IOTA certified.

Goal: After having participated in this course, the participants should be able to use gynecological ultrasound in an optimal way in clinical practice.

Advanced course on ultrasound examination of endometriosis and adenomyosis

Suitable for: Specialists in obstetrics and gynecology with at least basic skills in gynecological ultrasound and interest in endometriosis

Program: Lectures, live scanning, case presentations. The course includes image optimization, scanning-technique, pelvic anatomy as seen with ultrasound (central, anterior, posterior and lateral compartment), ultrasound appearance of deep endometriosis in different sites (ovaries, uterus, utero-sacral ligaments, bowel, urinary bladder, abdominal wall, umbilicus, groin, ileo-caekal, nerves) Ultrasound appearance and classification of adenomyosis. Measurement technique, standardized terminology (IDEA, MUSA), diagnosis of decidualization of endometriosis during pregnancy and malignization in endometriosis.

Aim: The course aims to give participants a theoretical basis for using ultrasound to detect endometriosis and adenomyosis and to determine the extent of the disease, to describe the ultrasound findings using standardized terminology, diagnose decidualization in endometriosis and counselling patients with endometriosis about their risk of malignancy
